A USB port is a physical interface found on electronic devices, such as computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, printers, and other peripherals, that allows for the connection of USB devices. USB ports typically appear as rectangular or square-shaped slots or receptacles on the device, into which a USB cable with a corresponding USB connector can be inserted.

USB-C connectors are small and sleek, with a rounded rectangular shape, and they are capable of delivering power, data, and video signals over a single cable. USB-C cables can transfer data at high speeds, with USB 3.1 and USB 3.2 versions capable of reaching speeds of up to 10 Gbps and 20 Gbps, respectively. USB-C cables can also deliver power to devices, with some supporting power delivery (PD) technology that allows for fast charging of compatible devices.
