The “Shift” key on a computer keyboard serves multiple purposes. Primarily, it is used to type uppercase letters. For instance, when pressed simultaneously with the letter “a,” it produces “A”. Additionally, on the top row of a standard keyboard, the number keys (from 1 through 0) have symbols associated with them.

On most computer keyboards, there are two “Shift” keys: one on the left side and one on the right side.
