A mountable panel that contains ports used to connect and manage LAN cables in a central point. From the front of the panel, the ports are usually ‘patched in’ to a core switch using a patch cable.

On the back of the panel, the Cat5 cables are terminated with a punch down or krone tool.

These terminated cables run from another device such as a PC, printer, phone, or server, usually in another room or part of the building.
