Multi Mode Fiber uses multiple light rays (or modes) through a 62.5 or 50 micron cable and can transmit up to 2 km.
Here’s a multimode st patch cable. Notice the cables come in pairs. This is because the light signals travel in only one direction, so you need 1 cable to transmit, and one to receive.
