A millisecond (ms) is a unit of time equal to one thousandth of a second (10⁻³ seconds). In computing, milliseconds are used to describe response times, scheduling delays, and user-perceived latency. Delays above a few hundred milliseconds are noticeable to users. Example: A 150 ms delay is perceptible in interactive applications.
