Measured Boot is a Windows security feature that records the state of the boot components using TPM measurements during system startup. Each time the computer turns on, it takes a “security snapshot” of the key steps that happen during boot-up. These snapshots are saved in a the TPM module. Later, trusted tools or security teams can look at that record to see if the system started up normally or if something strange (like a rootkit or boot-time malware) tried to sneak in.
