A low-level language is a programming language that is closer to the hardware and provides direct access to the computer’s underlying components, such as memory, registers, and processors. Examples of low-level languages include assembly language and machine code.

Low-level languages are used for tasks such as firmware development, device drivers, and system-level programming. They require a deep understanding of the computer’s architecture and are often more challenging to write and debug compared to high-level languages.
