Bluetooth is a wireless communication technology operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency range that allows short-range data exchange between devices like smartphones, computers, headphones, and IoT gadgets without cables or line of sight. It is widely used for applications such as file sharing, connecting input devices (keyboards, mice, and pens), device synchronization, and audio streaming through profiles such as A2DP (for streaming high-quality audio to wireless speakers and headphones). Bluetooth connections typically form a Personal Area Network (PAN) for close-range, low-power communication, generally up to 10 meters for most consumer devices. Newer Bluetooth versions (like Bluetooth 5.0 and later) extend range and improve data speeds, especially in low-energy modes.
